Crowther Memorial welcomes international students, focusing on integration with the Canadian students first and foremost, Canadian “Ambassadors” are assigned to each international student when they register and a welcome party is held for all students and their ambassadors.
Throughout the year this group meets for special gatherings and meals. There are specialized staff who oversee the programming and monitoring of each student. Their priority is that international students experience Canadian culture while receiving individualized ESL support and academic coaching. We value international students and celebrate throughout the year including a welcome orientation lunch, international week, Canadian Experience excursion field trips, pictures and maps of their home country in the main hallway and award recognition for achievement at the end of the year. Twice a year there is an International Café luncheon where each student makes their favorite recipe from home and everyone samples all of the authentic international food.
