International Student Council

International Student Council

Do you have leadership skills to put to good use? Awesome ideas about how to improve the international student experience with fun opportunities to interact with each other and in your communities? Do you love planning trips, parties and activities? Do you enjoy working as part of a team?

If you answered yes to any of those questions, then the International Student Activities Council could be for YOU!

As a council member, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with other students and staff members to plan activities, assist with creating activities announcements or communicating messages to students, and brainstorm ways to help keep your peers active and involved in the community.

The International Student Councils (in Strathmore, Drumheller and Three Hills) meet at least once a month under the mentorship of your Accommodations Coordinator to discuss, review, plan and prepare. These meetings will be mandatory, so you will need to be prepared to invest the time and effort into this commitment if you are interested.

In addition to giving you the opportunity to use your voice and ideas to benefit your fellow students and the international program at large, being a part of the International Student  Council will provide you with valuable personal and professional skills and leadership experience that will set you apart on university applications and resumes.

If this interests you and you think you have what it takes, please let your Accommodations coordinator know by emailing
